Donated over 55.4 million VND to help two lonely elderly people in Kien Xuong commune

On August 15, Hung Yen Volunteer Team coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross to visit and give more than 55.4 million VND and a standing fan to Mrs. Ha Thi Than (81 years old) and Mrs. Ha Thi Nhung (75 years old), residing at house number 25/209, Tran Nhan Tong street, Kien Xuong commune.

The Hung Yen Volunteer Team and the Provincial Red Cross Society visited the families of Ms. Ha Thi Than and Ms. Ha Thi Nhung.

Both women are sisters, unmarried, childless, and from a poor household, relying on each other for support. Ms. Nhung suffered a serious accident, breaking multiple bones, damaging her cervical spine, and suffering a herniated disc; she is now paralyzed and unable to care for herself. Ms. Than recently underwent colon surgery, is in poor health, and has difficulty moving around…

The money raised from generous donors is a great source of encouragement, helping the elderly couple cover their treatment and living expenses.

Representatives of the Hung Yen Volunteer Team presented the donations from benefactors to Ms. Ha Thi Than and Ms. Ha Thi Nhung.
