Camera footage shows the person who left the baby boy in the cold

On January 12, a leader of the People's Committee of Tan Hoa Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City ( Dak Lak ) confirmed that people had just discovered an abandoned baby in the area and the authorities had issued a notice to find the baby's relatives.

Local authorities are extracting camera footage to track down and identify the person who abandoned the baby in harsh weather conditions.

At around 6:30 a.m. the same day, when the temperature in Buon Ma Thuot city was only about 18 degrees Celsius and the wind was very strong, people discovered a baby boy, about a few weeks old, wrapped in a thin towel and left in front of a house gate in Tan Hoa ward.

People quickly took the baby to Tan Hoa Ward Health Station for examination, warming and reporting to the authorities.

According to the leader of Tan Hoa Ward People's Committee, the baby was discovered without any accompanying documents. Fortunately, the baby was discovered early and his health has stabilized. Although someone has adopted the baby boy, the authorities still have to carry out the procedure of notifying relatives according to regulations.
