Implementing the Quang Trung Campaign: 'Where houses are restored, electricity will be provided'

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has just requested its member power companies to urgently implement tasks to support localities in successfully carrying out the "Quang Trung Campaign".

They went from household to household to check and repair electrical systems after the historic floods.

This is a rapid campaign to rebuild and repair houses for people in disaster-stricken areas, in accordance with Prime Minister's Directive 234/CĐ-TTg dated November 30, 2025, and EVN's instructions to provinces and units from Ha Tinh to Lam Dong.

Closely monitor each house and switch on the electricity as soon as conditions permit.

EVNCPC has directed its units under its management from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa, focusing on heavily affected areas such as Gia Lai, Dak Lak , and Khanh Hoa, to proactively coordinate with the People's Committees of the provinces to closely monitor the progress of construction and repair of houses for households whose homes were destroyed, swept away, or damaged during the heavy rains and floods in late October and November.

In the Central region specifically, EVN assigned EVNCPC the task of consolidating and repairing the power grid or providing new electricity connections with the spirit of "wherever houses are restored, electricity will be available."

According to Deputy General Director of EVNCPC Nguyen Huu Khanh, EVNCPC requires its units to coordinate closely with local authorities and closely monitor each house. Electricity can be supplied immediately to allow people to start constructing new houses, or electricity must be switched on once the minimum infrastructure is completed. EVNCPC clearly states its commitment to "not keeping people waiting for electricity when their houses have been restored."

Efforts to support local communities in achieving campaign goals.

According to statistics, successive natural disasters from Ha Tinh to Lam Dong have caused 1,635 houses to collapse and 39,461 houses to be severely damaged, seriously affecting people's lives. Restoring electricity as soon as possible is considered a crucial factor in helping people stabilize their lives after the storms and floods.

According to the general plan of the localities, the repair of damaged houses must be completed before December 31, 2025, and the construction of new houses must be completed before January 31, 2026. Accordingly, the electricity sector will closely coordinate with localities where households are subject to repair and new construction to meet the electricity supply schedule.

EVNCPC leaders affirmed that they will mobilize maximum human resources and equipment and coordinate closely with localities to ensure that every house, upon completion, will have electricity, contributing to bringing the "Quang Trung Campaign" to completion on time and ahead of schedule.

During the 2025 Customer Appreciation Month, EVNCPC implemented the theme "Continuing to join hands in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, accompanying customers in using electricity safely and stably." The electricity sector focused on restoring the power grid, supporting the inspection and repair of post-meter electrical systems, and providing guidance on safe and economical electricity use. EVNCPC promoted customer care, introduced the "EVN Customer Service" application, organized customer conferences, and implemented appreciation activities. Simultaneously, the units carried out many social welfare programs, supporting households in disaster-stricken areas and visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. In December 2025, EVNCPC organized the "11th EVN Pink Week" for blood donation in the Central and Central Highlands provinces.
