On the afternoon of October 10, at the Hoan Kiem Ward Culture - Information and Sports Center (Hang Trong flower garden space - No. 42 Nha Chung Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi), the Hanoi Art Photography Association opened the 55th Hanoi Art Photography Exhibition, with the theme "Pride of Hanoi - Beauty of all regions of the Fatherland".

The event took place on the occasion of the 71st Anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025), attracting a large number of delegates, artists and art lovers in the capital to attend.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, photographer Nguyen Van Toan, Chairman of the Hanoi Art Photography Association, emphasized that the annual Hanoi art photography contest and exhibition is both an opportunity to pay tribute to the heroic revolutionary tradition of the capital and to demonstrate the responsibility, love and pride of the photography community for the land of thousands of years of civilization. The event is also an opportunity for photographers to exchange and share creative experiences, contributing to promoting the image of Hanoi and Vietnam to domestic and foreign audiences.

This year, after more than 1 month of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 1,208 works from 146 authors, revolving around two major themes: "Pride of Hanoi" and "Beauty of all regions of the country". Through judging, the contest has selected 84 outstanding works (42 works per theme) to display, along with 22 works winning the highest awards.
Specifically, in the theme "Pride of Hanoi", there were 11 excellent works winning prizes including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes.

First Prize was awarded to author Nguyen Thi Bich Huong with the work "Flying under the national flag" - the moment the plane flies over the Hanoi Flag Tower, the sacred symbol of the Capital, evoking the harmony between the heroic past and the beautiful present.
Second Prizes were awarded to author Pham Ngoc Thanh with the work “Flying in the sky of independence” and author Pham Quoc Dung with the work “Fatherland in the film”. In addition, other works also reflected the image of Thang Long - Hanoi with a thousand years of culture, the heroic capital - City for peace and a green - clean - beautiful Hanoi in the new era.

In the theme "Beauty of all regions of the country" with 42 exhibition works, of which 11 excellent works won awards including 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 5 Encouragement prizes.
The first prize was awarded to the work “Ho Chi Minh City fireworks night on April 30th to celebrate 50 years of reunification” by author Nguyen Duc Toan. The work is a combination of historical spirit and development aspirations of the city named after Uncle Ho, at the same time fully expressing the joy of the people of the whole country on the day of national reunification through a brilliant fireworks display.

Two second prizes were awarded to the work “Motherly Love” by author Do Thi Bich Hai and the work “Summer Day” by author Dinh Van Nam. In addition, the remaining prize-winning works depicted diverse landscapes, life, customs and practices across Vietnam, all blending into a colorful picture of the beauty of the country today.
This year's works not only ensure high artistic and aesthetic value, but also demonstrate creative thinking and sophisticated image processing techniques, contributing to bringing Hanoi photography to new heights. In addition, Chairman of the Hanoi Art Photography Association Nguyen Van Toan emphasized that the exhibition is "a visual feast" - where the public can clearly feel the beauty of people, life and colors of all regions of the country to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.

The 55th Hanoi Art Photography Exhibition “Pride of Hanoi - Beauty of all regions of the country” is open to the public at Hang Trong flower garden until October 10.
