The 27th Mekong Delta Fine Arts Exhibition in 2022

The 27th Mekong Delta Fine Arts Exhibition in 2022 is a practical activity to celebrate the country's major holidays in general and towards the 100th anniversary of Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet's birth (November 23, 1922 - November 23, 2022).

On the morning of November 16, at the Vinh Long Provincial Convention Center (located in Ward 9, Vinh Long City), the People's Committee of Vinh Long Province coordinated with the Vietnam Fine Arts Association to organize the opening ceremony of the 27th Mekong Delta Fine Arts Exhibition in 2022.

The organizers said that at this exhibition, the Vietnam Fine Arts Council has selected 194 works by 167 authors from the provinces and cities of the Mekong Delta. The works focus on vividly reflecting the land and people of the Mekong Delta in all political , economic, cultural and social fields, clearly depicting the cultural imprint of this land. At the same time, honoring authors whose works have artistic value in both content and form. The exhibition lasts until November 26.

At the ceremony, the organizing committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes to the best works participating in this exhibition. The work "Young girl" by author Le Thi Tham ( Ben Tre ) won first prize.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee, said that the Mekong Delta fine arts exhibition is an annual joint activity of provinces and literary and artistic associations in the region. This is an opportunity for artists to contribute their artistic achievements, to meet, exchange and learn from each other.
