DNVN - From March 13-15 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Informa Markets Vietnam, in collaboration with Messe Düsseldorf Asia, will organize the 11th International Exhibition on Technology, Raw Materials and Machinery for the Plastics and Rubber Industry in Vietnam – Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2024.

The exhibition is a crucial opportunity for businesses to access the most modern equipment and technologies from leading corporations worldwide , connect, build business partnerships, and stay updated on useful industry trends and knowledge.

Over 80% of the businesses exhibiting at the Informa exhibition are from developed countries , thereby enabling companies in the industry to access the most advanced international technology solutions right here in Vietnam.

Each year, the Informa exhibition attracts tens of thousands of industry professionals. The majority of visitors are board members, business owners, or senior managers and specialists, promising numerous opportunities for businesses to promote their products and establish partnerships in the Vietnamese market.

Mr. Ben Wong, General Director of Informa Markets Vietnam, shared this at the exhibition's opening ceremony on March 13th.

According to Mr. Ben Wong, the exhibition boasts a 3,300m2 display space, bringing together over 60 exhibitors from 12 countries and territories, including 5 international pavilions from Germany, Italy, Austria, China, and Taiwan. The event is expected to attract 3,500 industry visitors.

According to Ben Wong, General Director of Informa Markets Vietnam , global plastic production has nearly doubled since the beginning of the century and is expected to continue growing rapidly due to population growth, purchasing power, and daily plastic consumption. With this in mind, Informa Markets is collaborating with Messe Duesseldorf Asia to bring together leading suppliers from around the world to connect with Vietnamese businesses, aiming to foster international business relationships across the industry.

The Vietnamese plastics market is estimated to reach 10.92 million tons in 2024 and is projected to reach 16.36 million tons in 2029, growing at a CAGR of 8.44% during the period 2024-2029 (Mordor Intelligence, 2023).

Along with plastics, Vietnam's rubber industry has also seen positive developments in the first few months of the year.

According to data from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's rubber exports in January 2024 reached approximately 260,000 tons, valued at US$365 million, an increase of 92.6% in volume and 99.8% in value compared to January 2023. In 2023, Vietnam was one of the top five rubber exporters to China, with a total volume of 1.68 million tons, valued at US$2.24 million .
