These include Pham Thanh Bao, Jeremie Luong, Nguyen Kha Nhi, and Vo Thi My Tien. Thanh Bao finished in 3rd place, while Vo Thi My Tien, despite finishing 8th, still qualified for the finals.

Report: Vietnam wins its first gold medal on December 11th.

In the women's team kata final, Vietnamese karate athletes Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Tram, and Hoang Thi Thu Uyen performed excellently, helping Vietnam overcome host country Thailand to win the gold medal. This is the first gold medal for Vietnamese karate at the 33rd SEA Games and also the first gold medal for the Vietnamese delegation on December 11th.

Report: Vietnam has a representative in the women's kata final in Karatedo.

Following an outstanding performance, the Vietnamese women's kata team, consisting of Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Tram, Bui Ngoc Nhi, and Hoang Thi Thu Uyen, defeated Indonesia to advance to the final. The team will compete in the final this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the men's kata team lost to Indonesia in the semi-finals and will compete for the bronze medal.

Report: Vietnam basketball team suffers heavy defeat against Malaysia.

On a day when they weren't performing well, the Vietnamese men's 3x3 basketball team suffered a crushing defeat against Malaysia. The 21-12 scoreline highlighted the significant difference between the two teams. Thus, the Vietnamese men's basketball team has been eliminated from the 3x3 event.

Report: A successful morning for Vietnamese swimmers.

At the end of the morning competition on December 11th, 4 out of 6 Vietnamese swimmers had qualified for the finals of their respective events. These were Pham Thanh Bao, Jeremie Luong, Nguyen Kha Nhi, and Vo Thi My Tien. Thanh Bao finished 3rd, while Vo Thi My Tien, despite finishing 8th, still qualified for the finals. The two athletes eliminated were Trinh Truong Vinh and Nguyen Ngoc Tuyet Han.

RESULTS OF THE 4 FINALISTS IN THE QUALIFYING ROUND

- Pham Thanh Bao: 3rd place in the men's 100m breaststroke qualifying round - 1:03.16 (1 minute 3 seconds 16)

- Jeremie Luong: 4th place in the men's 50m freestyle qualifying round - 23.01 seconds

- Nguyen Kha Nhi: 8th place in the women's 200m freestyle qualifying round - 2:08.70

- Vo Thi My Tien: 8th place in the women's 200m individual medley qualifying round - 2:23.64

Badminton player Vu Thi Trang was eliminated in the round of 16 of the women's singles.

11:25 AM : Despite her best efforts, Vu Thi Trang could not overcome the youth and confidence of the home player, Katethong. She lost both sets with scores of 19-21 and 7-21. The Vietnamese player was eliminated in the round of 16 of the women's singles event at the 33rd SEA Games.

Athletics has athletes with the potential to win gold medals such as Ngan Ngoc Nghia, Luong Duc Phuoc, and Sam Van Doi. They will begin competing in the qualifying rounds today.

At noon, the Vietnamese men's basketball team will face Malaysia in a crucial match. After losing to the Philippines, the players must win against Malaysia to advance to the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the women's team has already qualified for the semi-finals. At 3:30 PM, they will also play their semi-final match against Malaysia.

Another big match between Vietnam and Malaysia, but this time in men's football. At 4:00 PM at Rajamangala Stadium, U22 Vietnam will face U22 Malaysia in a match where the winner will advance while the loser is very likely to be eliminated.

We also can't forget the women's football competition, where the girls also had to fight to the death. Having lost to the Philippines, they had to win against Myanmar to advance to the next round.

In addition, swimming today also promises to bring more gold medals for the Vietnamese sports delegation, with 7 events awarding medals on December 11th. Fans will be hoping for Phạm Thanh Bảo to perform well in his signature breaststroke events.
