Following the discovery of drugs during a patrol by Task Force 363 (or Team 363), the Binh Tan District Police (Ho Chi Minh City) launched a drug trafficking operation, arresting 8 suspects and seizing nearly 2kg of drugs.
On September 27th, the Binh Tan District Police successfully dismantled a drug trafficking ring based on a discovery made by Team 363 during their patrol on September 11th.
Earlier, on the evening of September 11th, a patrol team from Unit 363 on Binh Tri Dong Street (Binh Tri Dong A Ward, Binh Tan District) spotted Hua Thanh Nhan (29 years old, residing in District 5) exhibiting suspicious behavior. Upon inspection, the police seized two packets of drugs from Nhan's person.
Based on the statements, the police investigated and arrested the ringleaders, including: Hy Nhut Sanh (51 years old); Thai Han Quang (49 years old); Duong Van Duc (51 years old); Luu Van Thong (33 years old, all residing in District 11); Le Xuan Hai (26 years old, residing in Dong Nai province); Ngo Cam Phong (49 years old, residing in Binh Tan district); and Phan Duc Minh (47 years old, residing in District 6).
The seized evidence included nearly 2kg of various types of narcotics along with numerous other tools and equipment. The police have initiated legal proceedings and detained 8 suspects on charges of illegal buying, selling, and possession of narcotics.
Recently, during patrol and control operations, the 363 task forces of the Ho Chi Minh City Police and district/county police have continuously detected and handled many criminal suspects, creating a foundation for professional units to expand investigations into major cases.
