Can Tho City Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Week: Promoting the image of the innovation ecosystem

On the morning of December 9, the launching ceremony of the Can Tho City Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Week 2025 (CASTID 2025) took place with the theme "Can Tho - Dynamic Center of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation" implemented by the People's Committee of Can Tho City and the Ministry of Science and Technology; the Department of Science and Technology in coordination with Can Tho University.

The week creates a space for knowledge - technology - ideas - policies to converge, aiming to promote cooperation, share experiences and jointly create a more modern, sustainable, intelligent and humane urban model. At the same time, it is an opportunity to promote the image of the local innovation ecosystem, attracting domestic and foreign investors, scientists and technology enterprises to join.

CASTID 2025 is a concrete step to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo ; not only creating a breakthrough in the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, attracting cooperation and investment activities for creative startups, but also affirming the role of Can Tho as the connecting nucleus and driving force of the Mekong Delta region. CASTID 2025 will officially launch and take place with two main milestones: the CASTID 2025 launching ceremony on December 9, 2025 and the main week with a series of events and exhibitions from December 16 to 20, 2025.

The event taking place on December 9, 2025 includes the following contents: Presentation on ST25 - Rice grains tell the story of Vietnam; Agricultural innovation for a livable city; Smart and sustainable city model - Digital transformation strategy to improve the quality of life with discussion topics; Convergence of science and technology resources and innovation - Creating Can Tho "a livable city" including environmental perspectives, ESG - sustainable development; Cultural perspectives, spiritual life; The trio of innovation (Policy - Research - Enterprise) in human resource development, proposing breakthrough initiatives in the field of logistics infrastructure development and proposing breakthrough initiatives in the field of smart agriculture.

Within the framework of the 5-day main week, there will be a series of 20 specialized activities creating a multi-dimensional connection space, spreading knowledge and proposing breakthrough solutions to promote cooperation between managers, experts, businesses, universities and the science and technology community, innovation and digital transformation. Typical activities include: High-level forum: Mekong Delta Sustainable Development Forum, vision to 2045; Innovation Initiative Forum - Can Tho - a livable city; 1st Can Tho City Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Forum; Technology Showcase: A stage dedicated to SMEs and Startups to introduce new products, connect directly with investment funds, organizations supporting startups and innovation; Specialized scientific seminars: in-depth discussions on artificial intelligence (AI), development of high-quality science and technology human resources, digital transformation and green transformation; smart digital financial solutions.
