TKV Youth launched "Green Sunday"

On May 28, at Cua Ong Coal Selection Company - TKV, the Youth Union of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group and the Youth Union of Quang Ninh Coal organized the 2nd "Green Sunday" launching ceremony in 2023, responding to World Environment Day June 5 and launching the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

The program aims to strengthen propaganda and education work, mobilize youth union members and employees in the Group to strictly comply with environmental protection regulations of the 2020 amended Law on Environment, regulations on environmental protection of localities; actively register to undertake youth projects, youth management models, especially in the collection, classification and treatment of plastic waste, household waste, and production waste; organize environmental sanitation activities, associated with the good implementation of the volunteer Saturday and green Sunday movements; effectively maintain wastewater treatment stations, clean tunnel models, youth-managed routes... thereby contributing to building agencies and units "Brighter - Greener and Cleaner".

The peat filtration and pressing operation team model of the Youth Union of Cua Ong Coal Selection Company - TKV was commended by the TKV Youth Union as a typical youth management model in environmental protection.

For the 2023 summer youth volunteer campaign, the Group's youth union members focus on implementing on-site youth volunteer activities and volunteering for community life in a practical and effective manner, suitable to the characteristics of each emulation block and the characteristics of each unit.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, over 2,200 youth union members from 66 Youth Union units across the Group simultaneously launched environmental sanitation work in response to the 2nd "Green Sunday" in 2023 at the unit launched by the Central Youth Union with the theme "TKV Youth join hands to build a green, clean and beautiful environment".
