The core "nucleus" of new rural development.

Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Ngo Van Cuong acknowledged the initial results achieved by rural youth in their journey of self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

"Each of you has a different background and starting point, but you all have one thing in common: willpower, determination, a desire to overcome difficulties, a refusal to accept poverty, and a resolve to rise up and establish yourselves and your careers."

"You are truly exemplary role models for young people in terms of diligence and creativity in labor, a beautiful symbol of millions of rural youth union members who are competing day and night in labor, production, and business, enriching themselves, their families, and society, and taking the lead in building new rural areas," Mr. Ngo Van Cuong emphasized.

Mr. Ngo Van Cuong believes that the individuals receiving the Luong Dinh Cua Award will continue to shine, becoming core figures in the youth entrepreneurship movement, excelling in production and business, strongly inspiring generations of rural youth to enthusiastically compete in labor and production to become wealthy, and making positive contributions to development oriented towards ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and civilized farmers.

“I hope that the most active and effective participants in production and business will be each and every youth union member, who will leverage their youthful energy, creativity, and aspiration to get rich, thereby transforming aspirations into concrete actions and creating new vitality for the development of agriculture and rural areas in our country. The exemplary individuals honored today will continue to develop their strengths, becoming role models and leaders who will guide the youth union members around them to rise in life,” Mr. Ngo Van Cuong urged.

The 42 young people who received the Luong Dinh Cua Award this year are exemplary entrepreneurs and business owners in agriculture, generating high economic value, with revenues and profits of billions of dong each year; creating jobs for many young workers in the context of a difficult economy. In addition, their models and products are innovative, meet export standards, and implement the "One Commune, One Product" program, receiving acceptance from both domestic and international markets.

Working together to take agriculture to the next level.

Sharing her experiences at the program, Ms. Mai Thi Tuoi - Deputy Head of the Luong Dinh Cua National Network - said that currently, after one year of establishment, the network has regularly organized activities such as training for rural youth members, organizing exchanges and learning from each other's successful economic models, organizing forums on digital agriculture to inspire students, organizing trade promotion programs, and encouraging members to use each other's products…

“The younger generation is developing in a favorable business environment; you should take advantage of this opportunity to pioneer innovation. Beyond the award, actively participate and create together; together with the network members, we will develop and take agriculture to the next level,” said Ms. Mai Thi Tuoi.

"If you have a dream, keep going, and you will reach your destination" - This message, conveyed by Ms. Tran Thi Diu, Director of An Phat Trading and Service Co., Ltd., illustrates her own entrepreneurial journey. Born and raised in the Central Highlands, Ms. Tran Thi Diu was always concerned about the hardships faced by farmers when they experienced bumper harvests but low prices, or when they couldn't properly preserve their agricultural products.

Therefore, she has developed freeze-drying processes for macadamia nuts, durian, and grains to enhance the value of local agricultural products. At the program, Ms. Dịu stated that she has been developing more advanced products to create motivation, increase income for local people, and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of rural youth.

"I believe that to start a business, young people need unwavering determination, creative thinking, a spirit of improving product quality, and a mission to solve socially relevant problems," said Ms. Tran Thi Diu.

Ms. Tran Thi Diu also won First Prize in the 2023 Rural Youth Entrepreneurship Project with her freeze-dried durian and grains project.
