Vietnam team is not afraid of Bukit Jalil fire pan

Midfielder Chau Ngoc Quang admitted that playing at Bukit Jalil Stadium with a capacity of 90,000 spectators is stressful but will not affect the Vietnamese team when meeting Malaysia.

On the afternoon of June 8, the Vietnamese team had its third training session in Kuala Lumpur to prepare for the match against host Malaysia in the second match of Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup on June 10.

Speaking before the training session, midfielder Chau Ngoc Quang shared about the Vietnamese team's preparations for the important match with Malaysia.

Evaluating the Malaysian team, especially the naturalized players, Chau Ngoc Quang showed respect but also showed no hesitation.

He said: "Coach Kim Sang Sik and the whole team have evaluated all the naturalized Malaysian players. I myself have determined that these are all good players, so I must always be ready."

Talking about his new teammate Cao Pendant Quang Vinh, Chau Ngoc Quang gave positive compliments to the French-Vietnamese player.

"Cao Quang Vinh is actually a new player. However, through the process of training and living together, I realized that Quang Vinh is a very cheerful, sociable person and has integrated very well with the whole team," the 29-year-old midfielder added.

Sharing about the team's mentality before entering the match with Malaysia, Chau Ngoc Quang affirmed: "The whole team has been ready since the first day of training. So now everyone is in a very comfortable mood, and always has experience to be ready for the upcoming match."

When asked about having to play at Bukit Jalil Stadium with a capacity of 90,000 spectators, Chau Ngoc Quang admitted: "Honestly, when playing at such a large capacity stadium, while I am used to playing at a smaller stadium, that is also pressure. But it will not affect the whole team."
