At the 2024 AFC U23 Asian Championship, despite limited preparation time and squad difficulties due to injuries to key players like Dinh Bac and a viral fever preventing Quoc Viet from playing, the Vietnam U23 team maintained their determination and collective strength to reach the quarterfinals. They only lost and were eliminated by the much stronger Iraq U23 team.
After concluding their journey in the early morning of April 27th (Vietnam time), the Vietnam U23 team arrived back in Hanoi on the afternoon of April 28th. Following immigration procedures at Noi Bai Airport, the players were arranged by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to travel to their respective localities or clubs based on their domestic competition schedules.
Most of the players in the Vietnam U23 squad will immediately embark on their next leg of the journey in the National Cup, V-League, and National First Division, starting today, April 28th. In May, the schedule for clubs in these leagues will be very busy, with players having to play an average of one match every three days.
