The Ministry of Industry and Trade has requested provincial and city departments of industry and trade to direct hydropower dam owners to protect dams and reservoirs, safeguard production, and deploy personnel, materials, machinery, and equipment to be ready to respond to and mitigate any incidents.

Directing businesses supplying goods in the area to implement plans to stockpile essential goods, ensuring supply for people in the affected areas.

The National Power System and Electricity Market Operator mobilizes power sources appropriately to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the national power system…

Closely coordinate with hydropower reservoir management units to update the actual hydrological situation, flood situation, and requirements of competent authorities, ensuring efficient power generation and minimizing the risk of power grid failures and generator unit failures.

The Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has directed local electricity units and hydropower dam owners under its management to prepare personnel, materials, equipment, and logistics according to the "four on-the-spot" principle to respond to Typhoon No. 3 and its aftermath; and to inspect power grids and hydropower dams to ensure safe and stable electricity supply.

The Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group directs its coal and mineral mining facilities to proactively inspect safety, prevent and mitigate landslides and flooding at mines; inspect and review preparations for storm response at underground and open-pit mining sites, and critical waste dumps...

The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) has directed its units to implement disaster prevention and search and rescue plans at each facility (warehouses, ports, export terminals, pipelines, petrol stations, etc.); ensuring the safety of petrol and oil depots and stations located in areas affected by Typhoon No. 3, and ensuring the readiness to supply petrol and oil to the people. They are also organizing the stockpiling of petrol and oil at stations to serve disaster prevention and control as regulated.

Hydropower dam owners must strictly adhere to procedures and plans to ensure the safety of dams and downstream areas, and promptly warn authorities and people in downstream areas when releasing floodwaters, especially in emergency flood release situations.
