Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has a new Vice Chairman

On February 26th, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce personnel decisions. Attending the ceremony were: Ms. Tran Kim Yen, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; and Ms. Thai Thi Bich Lien, Deputy Head of the Organization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Accordingly, Decision No. 2304/QD-MTTW-BTT of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front recognizes the title of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, term X, 2019-2024, for Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy, former Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also issued Decision No. 1799-QDNS/TU appointing Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy to participate in and hold the position of Member of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2019 - 2024.

Speaking at the decision announcement ceremony, Comrade Tran Kim Yen acknowledged that Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy had quickly grasped the key aspects of the work, quickly adapted to the tasks, and participated with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city in carrying out assigned duties. Specifically, she participated in activities to care for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024; and visited and encouraged outstanding collectives and individuals in the health sector on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day.

Ms. Thai Thi Bich Lien, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Department, presented the decision to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy.

Comrade Tran Kim Yen expressed her hope that in the coming time, Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy will promote the spirit, proactively grasp the requirements of the work, and actively coordinate with officials and specialists in the professional departments to propose key tasks and innovative solutions in the work of democracy and law to meet the requirements of the new situation. This is especially important in 2024 - the year of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, term 2024-2029.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy was born in 1974. She holds a Master's degree in Party Building and State Administration; a Bachelor's degree in Law; and a Senior Certificate in Political Theory.
