African swine fever vaccine enhances the position of Vietnamese agriculture.

To date, no country in the world other than Vietnam has commercially produced and developed a vaccine against African Swine Fever.

The World Organisation for Animal Health has officially issued the standards for evaluating and approving vaccines against African Swine Fever.

Thus, after more than 100 years since the emergence of this disease, this is the first time there have been standards for a vaccine to prevent it.

Notably, no country other than Vietnam has yet manufactured or commercially developed this vaccine.

Vietnam has also exported more than 600,000 doses of African swine fever vaccine. This event affirms the position of veterinary science in particular and the Vietnamese agricultural sector in general on the global stage.
