Vietnam offers condolences to India over train accident that left many people dead

Upon hearing of the train accident that occurred on June 2 in Odisha state, Republic of India, killing and injuring many people, on June 3, President Vo Van Thuong sent a message of condolences to President Droupadi Murmu; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a message of condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On the same day, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son sent a message of condolences to Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

At least 280 people were killed and more than 900 others injured in a train crash in the Indian state of Odisha on the evening of June 2. This is the most serious accident in India in more than 10 years.
