On behalf of the State leaders, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan sent best wishes to female Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations in Vietnam on International Women's Day, March 8.

According to the Vice President, over the past years, the Vietnamese State has continuously improved and effectively implemented policies to narrow the gender gap, create conditions and opportunities to achieve gender equality in all areas of social life, contributing to the country's sustainable development.

On this occasion, the Vice President also expressed his gratitude for the good sentiments, efforts and effective contributions of the Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations to the country and people of Vietnam, actively contributing to Vietnam in overcoming difficulties and achieving important results in all fields with many outstanding marks in 2023; at the same time, fostering friendly relations, cooperation and mutual development between Vietnam and other countries and international organizations.

The Vice President hopes that in the coming time, female Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations will continue to accompany, cooperate and support Vietnam in rapid and sustainable socio -economic recovery, successfully carry out the renovation and international integration process, and actively contribute to the common goals of the United Nations, including gender equality goals.

The Vice President wished for the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and other countries and international organizations to grow more and more; and wished for women around the world to become more united and develop.

On behalf of the female Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations, Ms. Maria Olandina Isabel Caeiro Alves, Ambassador of Timor Leste, thanked the Vice President and leaders of Bac Ninh province for taking the time to welcome and send congratulations on International Women's Day, March 8. Ms. Maria Olandina Isabel Caeiro Alves also assessed that Vietnam is a successful model in the world in promoting gender equality, in line with the United Nations' sustainable development goals.
