On behalf of the State leadership, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan extended her best wishes to the female Ambassadors and Heads of Representative Offices of international organizations in Vietnam on the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8th.

According to the Vice President, in recent years, the Vietnamese State has continuously improved and effectively implemented policies to narrow the gender gap, creating conditions and opportunities for gender equality in all areas of social life, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.

On this occasion, the Vice President also expressed his sincere gratitude for the kind sentiments, efforts, and effective contributions of the Ambassadors and Heads of Representatives of international organizations to the country and people of Vietnam, actively contributing to helping Vietnam overcome difficulties and achieve important results in all fields with many outstanding achievements in 2023; while simultaneously fostering friendly relations and cooperative development between Vietnam and other countries and international organizations.

The Vice President expressed hope that, in the coming time, female Ambassadors and Heads of Representatives of international organizations will continue to accompany, cooperate with, and support Vietnam in its rapid and sustainable socio -economic recovery, successfully implement the reform and international integration process, and make positive contributions to the common goals of the United Nations, including the goals of gender equality.

The Vice President wished for the friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and other countries and international organizations to continue to develop; and wished for women around the world to become increasingly united and prosperous.

On behalf of the female Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations, Ms. Maria Olandina Isabel Caeiro Alves, Ambassador of Timor Leste, thanked the Vice President and the leaders of Bac Ninh province for taking the time to receive them and extended congratulations on International Women's Day, March 8th. Ms. Maria Olandina Isabel Caeiro Alves also acknowledged that Vietnam is a successful model in the world for promoting gender equality, in line with the United Nations' sustainable development goals.
