Vietnam SuperPort, the University of Transport Technology (UTT), and the Singapore Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA) have joined forces to promote innovation and sustainable development in the logistics industry.
Vietnam SuperPort ™ , the University of Transport Technology (UTT), and the Singapore Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in establishing an advanced logistics laboratory and implementing initiatives to enhance human resources for Vietnam's logistics industry.
This strategic partnership will contribute to strengthening Vietnam's position as an important logistics hub in Southeast Asia, while simultaneously promoting innovation and sustainable development in the industry.

The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc province; Mr. Jaya Ratnam, Ambassador of Singapore to Vietnam; and representatives of Vietnam SuperPort ™ , UTT, and SCALA.
At the event, the parties agreed to cooperate in implementing initiatives to improve the quality of human resources in the industry and promote the development of the logistics sector towards a modern, smart, and sustainable direction.
A highlight of this partnership is the establishment of the first logistics laboratory, jointly developed by a Singaporean logistics group and a leading university in the field of transportation, located at UTT's Vinh Phuc campus.
This laboratory will serve as a center for innovation and digital technology, focusing on the application of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and sustainable development.
The laboratory will provide training courses for high-quality personnel and organize specialized conferences and seminars. In addition, it will serve as a platform connecting students, scholars, and industry professionals to conduct scientific research, while also providing academic and applied perspectives to support the development of strategies and policies for the Vietnamese logistics industry.
The parties also emphasized the importance of collaborating to enhance training programs through practice-oriented learning methods. Experts from Vietnam SuperPort ™ and SCALA will participate in teaching programs and workshops organized by UTT, sharing their knowledge and practical experience in the industry.

Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Rector of the University of Transport Technology, delivered a speech at the event.
UTT students will also have the opportunity to visit and learn at Vietnam SuperPort ™ and Supply Chain City ™ in Singapore. This will give them access to advanced logistics infrastructure.
Furthermore, Vietnam SuperPort ™ will provide internship opportunities for selected UTT students, including a 9-month talent development program at YCH Group's headquarters in Singapore, giving students valuable practical experience.
Improving the quality of teaching is also a key part of this strategic partnership. Accordingly, Vietnam SuperPort ™ and SCALA will design a specialized training program for UTT faculty, focusing on advanced supply chain models, technology integration, and sustainable practices.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort ™, emphasized that this strategic partnership aligns with Vietnam SuperPort ™ 's development strategy and the company's commitment to enhancing the capabilities of Vietnam's logistics industry.

Expressing his expectations regarding the partnership's potential in enhancing teaching quality and providing practical experience opportunities for students and faculty, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Rector of UTT, stated that the strategic partnership between Vietnam SuperPort ™ , UTT, and SCALA marks a significant step forward in developing a modern, smart, and sustainable logistics ecosystem in Vietnam .
"By combining academic expertise with specialized knowledge and practical experience, this collaboration aims to develop a highly skilled workforce capable of driving innovation and growth in Vietnam's logistics industry , " Mr. Long said.
Ian Dyason, CEO of SCALA, pledged to enhance training and development in Vietnam's logistics industry through this strategic partnership.
According to Mr. Dyason, by combining the expertise of the three units, the parties aim to equip the next generation of personnel with the necessary skills to meet the demands of the industry.
