Vietnam Airlines donates 5.5 billion VND to support people in flood-affected areas

At the closing ceremony of the 2025 Autumn Fair, Vietnam Airlines announced a donation of VND5.5 billion to support people in provinces and cities severely affected by recent storms and floods.

This support is the heart of the collective of employees of Vietnam Airlines and its member units, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and social responsibility of the national airline in the face of the difficulties of people in flood-affected areas.

Mr. Dao Manh Kien - Member of the Party Standing Committee, Chairman of Vietnam Airlines Trade Union, represented the Corporation's leaders to present the support symbol to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , expressing the affection and companionship of Vietnam Airlines.

Mr. Dao Manh Kien shared: “As the national airline, Vietnam Airlines is always aware of its responsibility to the community. We want to spread the spirit of kindness, sharing and accompanying people in flood-affected areas to overcome difficulties. That is also part of the airline's mission on the journey of sustainable development.”

In addition to financial support, Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO) has deployed free transportation of relief goods to the Central localities heavily affected by floods. Just a few days after the announcement, more than 4 tons of goods including necessities, medicine, clothes, etc. were quickly transported by Vietnam Airlines flights to Phu Bai Airport (Hue) and Da Nang Airport to promptly deliver to people in flooded areas.

The timely and practical actions to join hands with people in flood-affected areas once again affirm the spirit of humanity and social responsibility of Vietnam Airlines.
