According to VIMC's leaders, in 2024, VIMC's business results far exceeded the plan, the parent company achieved revenue of VND 3,155 billion (131% of the plan) and pre-tax profit of VND 1,353 billion (equivalent to 145% of the plan). Consolidated revenue reached VND 19,235 billion (143% of the plan) and pre-tax profit of VND 3,153 billion (equivalent to 115% of the plan).
New Chairman of VIMC Board of Directors Nguyen Canh Tinh said that thanks to the positive business results, VIMC had eliminated all accumulated losses by the end of 2023 and had profits to pay dividends to shareholders for the first time in many years.
In the coming period, VIMC will continue to focus resources on strategic infrastructure projects, especially the construction of deep-water ports, international transit ports and ICD systems in key economic zones. At the same time, it will invest in building new generation ships, high-tech ships, and prioritize the development of a modern container fleet to enhance VIMC's maritime transport capacity.
VIMC Board of Directors for the 2025-2030 term
New General Director of VIMC Mr. Le Anh Son said that in 2025, VIMC will expand its business activities around its strengths such as container port exploitation, integrated logistics, bulk cargo transportation, agricultural products, iron and steel... to create additional revenue and profit sources in addition to traditional business segments.
The Corporation will apply advanced technology solutions such as automation, IoT, blockchain, cloud computing... to comprehensively digitize mining operations.
Along with digital transformation, VIMC also focuses on green transformation and energy transformation in operations, such as increasing the use of renewable energy, reducing carbon emissions and complying with international standards on sustainable development. These are necessary steps for VIMC to develop sustainably, keeping up with the trends of the maritime industry in the region and the world .
According to VIMC, the largest seaport enterprise in Vietnam will strive to achieve 8% growth in the coming time.

Speaking at the congress, Deputy Director of the State Enterprise Development Department, Ministry of Finance Ho Cong Trung congratulated the new leadership of VIMC; at the same time highly appreciated the outstanding results of VIMC in the past term.
Mr. Trung suggested that VIMC speed up the construction of deep-water ports and international transit ports, especially the construction of new generation ships, high-tech ships, and modern container fleets.
"In the context of increasingly fierce market competition, we suggest that VIMC continue to innovate and find new ways to improve production and business efficiency and invest effectively," said Mr. Trung.
