Vinacomin and Marubeni Corporation sign coal supply contract for 2025.
During the meeting with Marubeni Corporation, Marubeni's leaders expressed their desire to cooperate in future projects to expand Vinacomin's alumina and aluminum smelting plants.
Meanwhile, Jogmec Group stated that in 2025, Jogmec will continue to provide training for Vinacomin trainees in Japan, as well as send Japanese experts to train and transfer technology to units under TKV (Vietnam Coal and Mineral Group) to help improve the techniques and technology of tunnel excavation and modern underground coal mining, train human resources, enhance production capacity and safety management for mines, and contribute to the stable supply of coal to Vietnam and Japan.
By the end of 2024, more than 2,200 trainees from Vinacomin had been sent to Japan for training.
Every year, Jogmec Group and Kushiro Coal Company send experts and bring machinery and equipment to Vietnam to directly teach, train, and transfer technology to officials and workers at Vinacomin's coal mines. To date, Jogmec Group and Kushiro Coal Company have trained over 160,000 experts and officials in Vietnam.
Vinacomin, along with Sumitomo Group and Nippon Steel, signed a coal supply contract for 2025.
During this trip, Vinacomin leaders also worked with Sumitomo Group and Nippon Steel on the coal trade sector.
With the approval of the Government , Vinacomin will continue to export high-quality coal to its Japanese partners; and will sign coal supply contracts for 2025 with Sumitomo and Nippon Steel.
