Today, August 18, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vingroup Corporation organized the exhibition event "VinFast - For a green future".

The highlight of the event was the group's strategic vision for electric cars and the application of AI in VinFast electric cars... and the appearance of the VF3, a mini car model expected to become the "national" car of the Vietnamese people.
At the event, Mr. Stuart Iain Taylor, Deputy General Director of VinFast Electrical - Electronics and Smart Services Division, gave a presentation on VinFast electric cars and showed that we are witnessing significant changes in the automotive industry, thanks to the integration of new technologies, especially the development of electric cars.

Electric cars can be thought of as “Mobile Computers on Wheels,” a mobile supercomputer consisting of dozens of small computers that perform tasks on the vehicle. The processing and communication capabilities of these computers are getting faster and more sophisticated, creating complex features that were hard to imagine 10 years ago. Advanced driving assistance and voice communication are no longer a fantasy in the movies, but a reality.
“But that’s just the starting point. A dense, sophisticated computer system enables many features but also requires a lot of power, has the potential for errors and slows down the system. Making things simple but efficient and cost-effective is what VinFast is aiming for,” said Stuart Iain Taylor.
With the technologies demonstrated, introduced and applied to VinFast electric cars, Mr. Stuart Iain Taylor believes that technology for people is the technology that helps solve that problem. With VinFast electric cars, you and your family can enjoy a camping trip in the highlands, breathe fresh air, immerse yourself in nature but still have a virtual assistant and cutting-edge technology by your side.

And in the event “VinFast - For a green future”, AI was mentioned as a core value for developing applied technology. Professor Vu Ha Van, Chief Science Officer of VinBigdata Joint Stock Company, emphasized the recent influence of generative AI, the trend of this technology in the world, and suggested whether Vietnam needs to master generative AI (a form of AI that can create new content and ideas, including conversations, stories, images, videos and music...) and whether there is a need for a “Vietnamese version of ChatGPT”.

According to him, generative AI will bring benefits in many areas such as smart cities, hotel tourism experiences or smart healthcare. In particular, in the automotive industry, generative AI promises to open up many potentials to promote production, business and increase user experience. Integrating generative AI will make VinFast the first electric car company in Southeast Asia to use this technology.

“VinBigdata will accompany VinFast to bring outstanding driving experiences through integrated leading technologies. Besides generative AI, a series of the latest technologies are also applied such as: Multi-position voice recognition in the car, personalization from wake-up, voice biometrics…”, according to Professor Vu Ha Van.
On this occasion, Vingroup also demonstrated technology, introduced a series of VinFast car models, including the appearance of the VF3 electric car. This is a mini car model that is expected to become the "national" car of the Vietnamese people. VF3 is only about 3,114mm long, suitable for moving in urban areas with many small alleys, does not take up space when parking and is easy to maneuver in traffic jams...
