The stock market on the morning of October 14 recorded strong cash flow into large-cap stocks, helping the VN-Index continue to break out and gradually approach the 1,800-point mark.

At the end of the morning session, VN-Index increased by 20.97 points to 1,786.09 points. Liquidity reached over VND26,510 billion. The entire floor had 103 stocks increasing, 197 stocks decreasing and 57 stocks remaining unchanged.

The VN30 basket recorded differentiation, but the leading stocks still played a key role. VJC increased by 6.94% to VND152,000/share, while Vingroup stocks continued to "fuel" the general increase: VIC increased by 6.86%, VHM increased by 3.22%, VRE increased by 1.63%. Some other large codes such as DGC, HDB, MWG, SSI, VPB, VCB... also contributed positively.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased by 1.86 points to 277.21 points, with a trading volume of more than 76.2 million shares, equivalent to VND1,042.7 billion. The UPCOM-Index increased by 0.46 points to 113.16 points with nearly 28 million shares traded, worth about VND397.5 billion.

Securities stocks maintained the dominant green color while the rest of the market was divided. Red covered the telecommunications and information technology groups.

Morning session developments show that the market's current growth momentum depends mainly on pillar stocks, especially leading stocks such as Vingroup, while most other industry groups are still trading sideways.
