In the first six months of 2024, the total production value of Vu Thu district is estimated at over 6,705 billion VND, an increase of 5.49% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 44.09% of the annual plan. Agricultural and industrial production sectors experienced higher growth compared to the same period. Budget revenue collection saw a breakthrough, with revenue from land use rights auctions estimated at 488 billion VND, exceeding the 2024 plan by 108 billion VND. Land clearance work showed positive progress, notably the 500KV power line project and the construction of provincial road DT.454. The education sector maintained its emulation movement, with results in student excellence competitions and entrance exams for grade 10 in public high schools and specialized schools ranking among the top in the province. Traditional festivals and cultural activities showed positive and clear innovation. Political security and social order were maintained. Limitations include unsatisfactory progress in urban planning and the construction of advanced new rural areas; difficulties encountered in land clearance for some projects; the emergence of some complex security and order issues; and an increase in traffic accident statistics.

Businesses and production facilities in Vu Thu district operated stably during the first six months of 2024.

In the last six months of the year, Vu Thu district focused on vigorously implementing the construction of advanced new rural areas and developing OCOP products; rectifying and strengthening the issuance of initial land use right certificates; resolutely carrying out land clearance for projects; organizing well the activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Thu Vu Party Branch and the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Vu Thu district; and maintaining security and order in the area.
