According to the owner of a fruit store chain in Hanoi , the period leading up to the Lunar New Year is always a peak shopping season to meet family consumption needs and for gift-giving. Imported fruits from the US are always a popular choice because they meet aesthetic standards while being affordable for many families.
Therefore, the amount of imported American fruit has also increased sharply. This source cited that during this period, the chain stores mainly sell American grapes, Envy apples, Dazzle apples, Evercrip apples, etc. These products range in price from 55,000 to 220,000 VND/kg depending on the type.
At local markets, fruit shops, supermarkets, and online marketplaces, American apples and grapes are widely available and frequently appear in Tet gift baskets.
