WiNARE - a digital turning point
At the second quarter investor meeting, Mr. Yuri Misnik, Chief Technology Officer of Masan Group, emphasized that the goal of digital transformation is to simplify processes, optimize costs and improve data-based decision-making capabilities. Platforms such as artificial intelligence (AI) and real-time data systems are being deployed flexibly, meeting the problem of large-scale operations.
One of the typical technological solutions is WiNARE - an automated ordering system that applies AI and real-time data, replacing the previous manual method. WinARE helps to improve the accuracy of demand forecasting, reduce errors and improve the ability to supply fresh products to consumers.

This system also proves its financial optimization ability by helping to save millions of dollars each year, reduce product loss and significantly cut down the workload for employees. Thanks to that, the sales team has more time to focus on serving customers, instead of processing manually as before.
Not only an operational tool, WiNARE also contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of fresh products, which is considered a distinct advantage of Masan. The automation system helps businesses maintain fresh supply, limit spoilage, thereby strengthening customer confidence in the brand.

Optimize costs, improve operating standards
The effectiveness of WiNARE is clearly demonstrated in practice. Piloted in Ho Chi Minh City with 614 points of sale, the spoilage rate in the chilled meat industry has decreased by nearly 2% in just 4 months, from May to August. This figure is equivalent to tens of billions of VND in cost savings each month.

At the same time, shelf availability increased from 80% to nearly 90% during the same period, while inventories remained at reasonable levels. Goods availability not only boosted sales but also improved the shopping experience, helping to retain customers better.
According to the roadmap, by the end of 2025, nearly 70% of the product lines at WinCommerce will be operated automatically or semi-automatically. WiNARE will also continue to expand into the frozen products, vegetables, seafood and processed foods industries.

Digital transformation to increase benefits for consumers
The difference in Masan’s digital transformation strategy lies in the close connection between technology and financial efficiency. Instead of considering technology as a mere support tool, Masan sets a clear requirement: each implementation initiative must bring specific, measurable value.
Not only stopping at WiNARE, Masan's technology ecosystem also helps improve cost management capacity, optimize operational processes and improve decision-making quality. Thanks to that, the group builds a solid foundation to expand scale while still ensuring efficiency and good control of resources.
This approach is the launch pad for Masan’s retail division to reach its long-term goal: to grow to 8,000 stores by 2030, while maintaining a sustainable growth rate. From the actual numbers, it can be seen that digital transformation at Masan is not just a technology story, but a comprehensive development strategy.
Each initiative, typically WiNARE, directly contributes to growth, reduces operating costs and brings practical benefits to consumers. More importantly, it is also a step to modernize retail infrastructure, enhancing the convenient, complete and secure shopping experience for millions of Vietnamese families.
Masan Group Corporation is one of the leading consumer-retail enterprises in Vietnam, with the goal of providing quality essential products and services to domestic and international consumers. Masan's ecosystem includes many potential growth areas: fast-moving consumer goods (Masan Consumer with Chin-Su, Nam Ngu, Omachi, Kokomi Wake-Up 247), branded meat (Masan MEATLife with MEATDeli, Ponnie, Heo Cao Boi), retail (WinCommerce with WinMart, WinMart+), tea and coffee (Phuc Long Heritage), and high-tech materials (Masan High-Tech Materials).
