Gia Lam Commune: Memorial ceremony for the 908th anniversary of the passing of Queen Mother Y Lan

On September 16, at the special national historical relic site of Ba Tam Temple and Pagoda, the People's Committee of Gia Lam Commune coordinated with the relic management board to solemnly organize the 908th anniversary of the passing of Queen Mother Y Lan (July 25, Dinh Dau year 1117 - July 25, At Ty year 2025).

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate Queen Mother Y Lan - an outstanding female politician of the Ly Dynasty. With her intelligence, courage and virtue, Queen Mother Y Lan made great contributions to the country's governance, caring for the people's lives, encouraging agricultural development, promoting education and morality.

The image, merits and personality of Queen Mother Y Lan will forever be the pride of the nation, a shining example for generations of Vietnamese women to follow.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Gia Lam Commune People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Dung emphasized that the 908th anniversary of the passing of Queen Mother Y Lan is an opportunity for cadres, party members and people of Gia Lam Commune to express their deep gratitude to the outstanding wise monarch in the history of the nation. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for today's generation to continue the tradition, promote the spirit of solidarity, and contribute to building an increasingly civilized and prosperous homeland.

On this occasion, Gia Lam commune organized many cultural and sports activities, attracting a large number of people to participate. Notable were the men's and women's volleyball tournament with the participation of teams from villages and residential groups; the pigeon releasing competition with more than 250 bird cages, creating unique and impressive moments and the tom diem tournament - a traditional folk game, contributing to community cohesion.
