Verify and clarify the case of a 1-year-old girl injured while going to school in Bac Ninh

Regarding the incident, a 1-year-old girl (Tien Phong ward, Bac Ninh province) suffered bruises and scratches on her face while being sent to the private preschool facility Mua Xuan 1 in the ward. The Chairman of the ward People's Committee assigned the ward police to investigate and clarify the incident.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Tien Phong Ward (Bac Ninh Province) has sent a document to the Provincial Department of Education and Training about the case of a 1-year-old girl named DTV (Tien Phong Ward, Bac Ninh Province) who suffered bruises and scratches on her face while being sent to "Mua Xuan Private Preschool, Facility 1".

Immediately after receiving information reflecting on the child DTV having bruises and scratches on his face at a private preschool in the ward, Mr. Ong The Vien, Chairman of Tien Phong Ward People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 388/UBND dated September 4, 2025 to direct the inspection and verification of the above incident; assigned the Department of Culture - Society to preside over and coordinate with the Ward Police to verify and clarify.

The initial inspection and verification results are as follows: At around 8:00 a.m. on September 3, 2025, Ms. D.TL brought her daughter, DTV (14 months old), to the private preschool facility, Mua Xuan, facility 1, in Quyet Tien residential group, Tien Phong ward, Bac Ninh province. At 3:00 p.m. the same day, Ms. TL came to pick up her child and discovered many bruises on the child's face, suspected of being beaten.

After that, Ms. TL's family took DTV to a medical facility for examination and testing. The results determined that DTV had soft tissue injuries, bruises on both cheeks, bruises on the forehead, scratches, and bruising on the left back.

On the same day, the leaders of the Ward People's Committee, along with leaders and officers of the Ward's Department of Culture and Social Affairs, visited the family to inquire about the child's health, encouraged the family, and understood the family's thoughts and wishes (at the time of the visit, DTV's health was stable and he was playing with his parents).

Mr. Ong The Vien, Chairman of Tien Phong Ward People's Committee, assigned the ward police to continue working with relevant groups and individuals to clarify the incident, on that basis, propose competent authorities to strictly handle violations (if any), promptly stabilize the psychology of DTV's family as well as warn and deter violations in education in the ward.

Also on the afternoon of September 4, a reporter from Vietnam Women's Newspaper contacted DTV's mother and learned that she is currently at home with her mother to take care of her and monitor her health and mental state.
