When visiting Thuong Xuan commune, tourists shouldn't miss the opportunity to explore Xuan Lien National Park, covering an area of approximately 25,600 hectares with high, mist-shrouded mountains like Pu Xeo and Pu Gio, and pristine forests with rich flora and fauna. Here, visitors can also learn about many landmarks associated with legends and stories told by the local people about the national hero - King Le Loi and the Lam Son Uprising, such as Hon Mai Muc (Ink Grinding Rock) and Hon Ngoi (Sitting Rock)... Legend says this was where the rebel army set up camp to train and forge weapons. The traces of the camp are gone, but a rock remains on the river - where Le Loi and Nguyen Trai ground ink and washed their brushes. About 1km away, along the Dat River, there is a small stream called Hon Ngoi. Legend says this was where Le Loi passed by many times, sitting for countless hours to observe the terrain, ponder, and plan his military strategy to defeat the Ming army. In addition, visitors to this area can also explore and experience beautiful historical sites and waterfalls, such as: the historical and cultural site of the Lung Nhai Oath Ceremony; the architectural and artistic site of Ho village communal house; Hon Yen waterfall, etc.

Visitors to Thuong Xuan commune can immerse themselves in the pristine, airy surroundings, listen to the babbling of streams; enjoy folk songs and dances, and savor dishes that reflect the rich culinary culture of the Thai ethnic group, such as grilled fish, bamboo rice, steamed pork, grilled chicken, rock snails, and purple sticky rice; especially, visitors can stay in traditional stilt houses when night falls...

To maximize its potential and strengths, Thuong Xuan commune has encouraged households with the means to invest in renovating traditional stilt houses, creating a green, clean, and beautiful natural landscape for tourism development. At the same time, it has intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to preserve and promote traditional cultural values; established folk art and culture clubs to serve tourists, creating jobs and increasing income for the people. Emphasis has been placed on investing in infrastructure, training human resources, and attracting investment in tourism development.

Ms. Luu Thanh Thuy, one of the households involved in tourism in Thanh Xuan village, said: "Thanks to the attention and encouragement of the local Party committee and government, my family has invested in building facilities and developing the grounds to provide tourism services. Currently, my house has 7 rooms and 1 stilt house to serve the accommodation needs of tourists. To better serve the needs of tourists, my family has participated in training courses on tourism skills and food safety and hygiene. Thanks to the development of community tourism, my family has an additional source of income and has also created jobs for 4 workers with an income of 5 million VND/person/month."

Currently, Thuong Xuan commune has 12 households providing tourism services, including 4 households offering homestay tourism. From July 2025 to the present, Thuong Xuan commune has welcomed nearly 20,000 visitors. The development of tourism has created jobs for dozens of local workers, promoting the socio-economic development of Thuong Xuan commune.

Mr. Le Huu Giang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Xuan commune, said: "In recent years, Thuong Xuan commune has paid attention to developing tourism while preserving and promoting traditional cultural values. Therefore, the number of tourists visiting the commune is increasing. In the coming time, Thuong Xuan commune will continue to promote and encourage households to develop tourism. We will focus on investing in infrastructure and creating favorable conditions to attract investors to develop tourism. We will direct villages to encourage people to plant and raise specialty crops and livestock linked to tourism development, increasing the economic value for the people. This will contribute to building Thuong Xuan into a friendly, safe, and attractive tourist destination."
