Xiaomi 15 Series will be priced from 15.99 million VND

Last year, the Xiaomi 14 series was introduced with a starting price of 3,999 yuan (about 13.91 million VND). So it is possible that the Xiaomi 15 series will be at least 500 yuan cheaper than its predecessor.

A source citing a report by CNMO publication has revealed the starting price of the Xiaomi 15 series.

Accordingly, Xiaomi 15 will have a starting price of 4,599 Yuan (about 15.99 million VND), and Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a starting price of 5,499 Yuan (about 19.13 million VND).

The source also revealed that the price increase is due to the increase in chipset and memory costs. Previously, at the Xiaomi 14 launch event, Xiaomi President Lei Jun also confirmed: Xiaomi 15 will escape the era of starting price of 3,999 yuan.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said: Xiaomi 15 series may be the first phones to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC chip with superior performance that will be launched in October. It can provide two large cores along with six medium cores and will be manufactured on TSMC's 3nm process. Its price is about 25 to 30% higher than Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The Xiaomi 15 series phones are rumored to come with a 50MP resolution camera and a super large sensor combined with a 50MP telephoto periscope zoom camera for up to 3x zoom.

Gizmochina revealed that both Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will be dust and water resistant according to IP69 standard (currently, flagship smartphones from Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi only meet IP68 dust and water resistance standards).

It is known that IP69 provides better ingress protection than IP68. While the Xiaomi 14 Series with IP68 standard can withstand continuous immersion at a depth of more than 1.5 meters and 30 minutes, the Xiaomi 15 series with IP69 standard can withstand immersion in water at a depth of up to 2 meters for 1 hour.

In addition, devices that meet IP69 standards will be completely dustproof, even the finest dust cannot penetrate.

There are currently no IP69-certified devices on the market. If the rumors are true, the Xiaomi 15 series will be the first phones to be equipped with this high-end standard.
