Officials from the Center for Disease Control distributed and instructed people on the use of Aquatabs water disinfectant tablets in the Lung Phay cluster - Tien Long hamlet, Quang Uyen commune.
Previously, due to the impact of typhoons No. 9, No. 10, and No. 11, seven households in the Lung Phay - Tien Long hamlet, Quang Uyen commune , had their houses and crops deeply submerged in water. From the end of September until now, after more than two months of flooding, the water has only receded by about 30cm. Due to prolonged flooding, there is a risk of outbreaks of common post-flood diseases such as skin diseases, diarrhea, and conjunctivitis. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in coordination with the Quang Hoa Health Center, has implemented disease prevention and control measures, including disinfecting the environment at the receding water points; spraying insecticides; providing 390 Aquatabs 67mg water disinfectant tablets to households and instructing people on their use to treat drinking water; and distributing posters and handbooks on water treatment and environmental sanitation during the flood season.

Officials from the Center for Disease Control sprayed insecticide at households living near the flooded area of Lung Phay cluster - Tien Long hamlet, Quang Uyen commune.
