In the first six months of the year, Yen Son district achieved over 50% of the projected tax revenue for 7 out of 11 categories, including: Non-state enterprise tax at 57.1%; personal income tax at 68.3%; registration fee at 62.2%; fees and charges at 76.1%; land lease fee at 72.8%; mineral exploitation right fee at 87.8%; and other budget revenue at 126.9%.

Officials from Inter-communal Tax Team No. 5 (Yen Son) guide business households in declaring and paying taxes electronically.

Comrade Ta Van Tuan, Head of the Tax Department of Tuyen Quang City - Yen Son area, said that from the beginning of the year, the Department has reviewed and assessed each revenue source, noting increases and decreases due to policy impacts, growth or decline in production output; promptly urged the collection of newly arising revenues; and conducted inspections and audits of large enterprises with high tax risks. Along with that, the Department has strengthened measures to manage revenue collection, combat tax evasion, recover outstanding tax debts, and resolutely handle cases of deliberate non-compliance with tax obligations. Thanks to effective debt collection, in the first six months of 2024, the Department collected over 9 billion VND in outstanding tax debts. At the same time, the Department assigned officers to the inter-commune/township tax teams to monitor their areas, regularly inspect, review, and create tax registers to apply appropriate tax rates at each time, contributing to the effective exploitation and management of revenue sources.

Mr. Cao Truong Giang, Team Leader of Inter-communal Tax Team No. 5 in Yen Son district, said: The team currently monitors and manages over 1,140 tax-paying business households in 14 communes of Yen Son district. The team has assigned officers to each commune to monitor and inspect the production and business activities. Business households not subject to taxation but with good business performance are included in the tax management system to better exploit newly arising revenue sources. The team is also responsible for disseminating information and resolving difficulties faced by business households in implementing tax policies and laws. As of early July, Inter-communal Tax Team No. 5 had collected nearly 2.7 billion VND in taxes from production and business activities of households in Yen Son district.

Currently, Yen Son district has 169 businesses and nearly 2,400 business households. Thanks to timely dissemination and support regarding tax policies and laws, many businesses and business households in the district have fulfilled their obligations to pay taxes to the state budget fully and in accordance with regulations.

Mr. Tran Tuan Sinh, a business owner in Tan Bien 2 village, Tien Bo commune (Yen Son district), shared: "Previously, I had to go to the tax office every quarter to complete tax payment procedures, which involved a very long waiting time. In 2022, I was guided by officers from Inter-commune Tax Team No. 5 on how to declare and pay taxes electronically. With electronic tax declaration and payment, I can declare and pay taxes from home or even outside of working hours. Based on my revenue report, my business paid nearly 50 million VND in taxes in the first six months of the year."

With the goal of striving to collect nearly 183 billion VND, achieving and exceeding the 2024 budget revenue target of 105% compared to the target assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, the Tax Sub-Department of Tuyen Quang City - Yen Son area continues to implement comprehensive solutions to combat budget revenue losses, especially those related to land, mineral resources, and businesses and households with tax risks; resolutely fight and strictly handle cases of exploiting policies and laws to evade taxes and commit tax fraud; and promote administrative reform and modernization of tax management...
