The program, chaired by the Central Propaganda Department and in coordination with the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, the Hanoi People's Committee, and assigned to the Army Radio and Television Center (Vietnam National Defense Television Channel) and other agencies and units, commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024); the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024); and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
Colonel Pham Van Tu, Deputy Director of the Military Radio and Television Center, said that the political and artistic program "Together We Defend the Nation" features unique artistic performances, combining modern 3D mapping projection technology, high-end surround sound (SoundScape), laser lighting… and live performance.
The program brought together nearly 500 artists and performers, including many famous artists such as People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Hong Hanh, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi... along with the collective of artists and performers from the Army Song and Dance Theatre and the Army Ceremonial Band.
This program has profound humanitarian significance; it is a political activity and an educational event about traditions and history, allowing audiences nationwide to experience a journey full of hardship but also immense pride and glory of the Vietnamese nation.
At the same time, this is a reminder and expression of gratitude from today's generation to the heroic and indomitable sacrifices of countless generations of our ancestors, so that our country could blossom with "Independence" and bear the fruits of "Freedom".
