The Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad for students under 18 years of age is organized by the Ministry of Preschool and Secondary Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Khorezm region of the Republic of Uzbekistan every two years since 2023.

According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Chemical Society, all 8 Vietnamese students participating in the first Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad won medals, including 4 Gold medals and 4 Silver medals. Vietnam ranked first overall.
Specifically, the four students who won Gold Medals are: Do Phu Quoc (Le Thanh Tong Specialized High School, Quang Nam ), Nguyen Nguyen Hai (Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, Nghe An), Le Quang Truong (Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, Nghe An), and Nguyen Huu Tien Hung (Bac Ninh Specialized High School).
The silver medals were awarded to the following students: Truong Bao Ngoc (Bac Ninh Specialized High School), Hoang Tien Cuong (Le Hong Phong Specialized High School, Nam Dinh), Tran Duc Anh (Hanoi Specialized High School for Natural Sciences), and Giap Vu Son Ha (Bac Giang Specialized High School).
The exam is held in two rounds. In the first round, students complete a theoretical test consisting of 7 questions in 5 hours, with a maximum score of 70 points. In the second round, students complete a practical test in 3 hours, with a maximum score of 30 points.
This year, the Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad was held from June 11-17 with the participation of 15 countries. The Vietnamese team ranked first ahead of strong teams such as Russia, Uzbekistan, Brazil, India, Türkiye, etc.
