In An Giang province, there are currently 2 drug rehabilitation facilities (Facility 1 is located in My Thuan commune; Facility 2 is located in Vinh Gia commune). Through the review, there are currently more than 2,000 students at 2 drug rehabilitation facilities in An Giang province who have not been issued ID cards, have Citizen ID cards but have not converted them to ID cards, or have lost them. Faced with this reality, the An Giang Provincial Police Department of Administrative Management of Social Order has urgently prepared all necessary conditions, deployed forces to the 2 facilities to receive ID card applications for students.
Sharing his joy, Mr. Nguyen Trung Hau, a student at Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1, confided: "Making an ID card today helps me feel more confident when I have personal documents after returning to society. That gives me more motivation to try for a better life in the future."
Drug rehabilitation students in An Giang province are regularly examined clinically and paraclinically, including: measuring body indexes (height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, breathing frequency), checking vision, examining ears - nose - throat, teeth - jaw - face, internal medicine and dermatology... In addition, the team of doctors and nurses also advises and answers many questions of students about the causes and symptoms of common diseases, at the same time providing knowledge and skills for self-care and health protection, especially raising awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and stimulants.

Drug rehabilitation facilities in An Giang province have been effectively implementing regulations and procedures related to drug rehabilitation, ensuring that the process of students studying, performing therapeutic labor, and training at the rehabilitation facilities is safe, effective, and respects the human rights of drug addicts. Drug rehabilitation is not only a medical process but also a multi-disciplinary, multi-method process, aiming to help drug addicts recover comprehensively both physically and mentally.
With specific goals and practical solutions, drug rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation management will contribute to effectively implementing drug prevention, control and combat, thereby gradually curbing, preventing and repelling drug crimes and evils, striving to build a drug-free society.
