On the afternoon of December 3, in Chan May - Lang Co commune (Hue city), a landslide occurred, burying a section of the road leading to Laguna tourist area, causing traffic congestion and posing many potential dangers to nearby residential areas.

According to records, before the landslide occurred, there was very heavy rain in Chan May - Lang Co commune. A large amount of rainwater poured down from the slopes of Canh Duong mountain, causing serious soil erosion. Hundreds of cubic meters of mud from the mountain slopes followed the floodwaters onto the road, burying the traffic system, including the first section leading to the only road to Laguna tourist and resort area.

Immediately after the landslide occurred, local authorities coordinated with the Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone Management Board and functional forces to urgently clean up a large amount of mud and soil and clear the scene.
By the evening of the same day, traffic through the landslide area had returned to normal. Currently, Chan May - Lang Co Commune Police are coordinating with functional forces to guide and help people safely pass through the landslide area.

Previously, in early December 2020, a serious landslide also occurred in this area, causing prolonged traffic congestion. The landslide location was the slope of the hillside protection slope to protect the only road leading to the Laguna tourist area in Canh Duong mountain (Canh Duong village, Loc Vinh commune, old Phu Loc district, now Chan May - Lang Co commune).
