Bac Ai: Determined to fulfill targets and tasks in 2024

In 2023, with the efforts of the entire political system from the district to the grassroots level, the socio -economic situation of Bac Ai district continued to maintain stability. As a result, 24/25 targets were achieved and exceeded the set plan; the total production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 8%; industry and construction increased by 12.6%; total retail sales of goods and consumer services increased by 10.5%... Comrade Mau Thai Phuong, Secretary of Bac Ai District Party Committee, said: 2024 is an important year, a breakthrough year to complete the goals of the Resolution of the 14th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the period 2021-2025. Therefore, based on the targets and tasks set out in 2024, the District Party Committee directs the focus on mobilizing and effectively using resources for investment in building socio-economic infrastructure; implementing the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the District Party Congress, the Resolution of the District People's Council on the socio-economic development plan for the period 2021-2025; coordinating with provincial departments and branches to call for and attract selective investment focusing on the following sectors and fields: Processing industry, livestock, high-tech agriculture , tourism; Strengthen innovation, actively promote internal resources, mobilize all social resources, gradually exploit local potentials and advantages to boost socio-economic development; create economic restructuring towards gradually increasing the proportion of industry and services; focus on developing production and livestock associated with restructuring the agricultural sector and building new rural areas; effectively implement national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and continue to build and develop type V urban areas in Phuoc Dai commune in the period of 2021-2025; gradually form OCOP products, production value chains associated with agricultural tourism; focus on investing in building cultural and social infrastructure to meet the tasks of improving people's knowledge, training human resources, and ensuring social security.

Under the direction of the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee, agencies, units and localities of Bac Ai district have developed synchronous plans according to their functions and tasks; at the same time, launched exciting emulation movements in all areas of social life. In the first days of the new year 2024, we were present in Bac Ai district to record the working atmosphere in agencies and units as well as the working atmosphere of people in the localities. Currently, people are actively sticking to the fields and gardens to take care of crops with the expectation of a bumper crop. Comrade Kator Nieu, Vice Chairman of Phuoc Thanh Commune People's Committee, said: In order to carry out the socio-economic development tasks in 2024, right from the first months of the new year, the commune has proposed many solutions, assigned tasks to associations and organizations to unify plans to implement the set targets.
