Bac Ninh: Localities promote waste collection and environmental sanitation

BAC NINH - To celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 and the Party Congresses at all levels, localities in the province have promoted waste collection, environmental protection and sanitation.

On this occasion, the Women's Union of Tan An Ward mobilized nearly 2,000 cadres and members in 42 residential groups to clean up the environment on main roads, inter-village roads, and residential groups. Accordingly, cadres and members focused on pruning trees, clearing weeds; classifying waste at source, organizing collection and treatment according to regulations.

In Tan Yen commune, environmental sanitation activities are deployed to 100% of hamlets. All scrap is collected at the village cultural house, sold to raise funds to help members and students in difficult circumstances...

During this time, localities in the province simultaneously launched a movement for the whole people to join hands to protect the environment. Strengthen communication and mobilize people to actively maintain environmental hygiene in their homes, alleys, residential areas, public areas, not to litter, and to dispose of garbage in the right place and at the right time.

Mobilize local socio -political organizations, including the youth union, women's union, veterans' association, farmers' association, etc., to act as the core to organize, guide, supervise, and implement the movement of the entire population joining hands to protect the environment and sanitation in residential areas and public areas.

Communes and wards direct functional units to collect, receive, classify and treat waste promptly, not allowing waste to accumulate, causing unsanitary conditions and environmental pollution, especially in residential areas, public places, tourist areas, streets, village roads, alleys, canals, lakes, ponds, and rivers.
