Directly commanding the forces at the scene, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tan Tai, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Defense Command of Region 2 - Phu Loi said: "Heavy rain and rapid water rise in the early morning left many households unprepared. We determined that the task of helping people overcome the consequences of flooding was an important one. Therefore, officers and soldiers all upheld their sense of responsibility and promptly helped people stabilize their lives soon."

Touched by the timely support of the forces, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nga, 75 years old, living in Cau Quan neighborhood, emotionally said: "Thanks to the help of the army and militia, my family was able to move our belongings and motorbikes without any damage.
