Following heavy rains caused by Typhoon No. 4, a large amount of trash was washed ashore by the waves, lying scattered all over Da Nang beach.
According to observations by Dan Viet reporters on September 20-21, along Nguyen Tat Thanh beach (Thanh Khe district), garbage was washed ashore by the waves, forming a long line.
Trash from all over flows into the sea with the currents. When the tide recedes, the trash gets trapped on the sandbanks.
The waste, mostly water hyacinth, plastic bottles, and dry wood, lay scattered along the beach, forming a long line.
According to observations on September 20-21, many young people were seen picking up trash and gathering it into piles for sanitation workers to collect.
These young people are high school students in Da Nang City.
Huynh Van Nhat Huy, a student from Phan Chau Trinh High School, said: "After the recent Typhoon No. 4, I noticed a lot of trash along the beach, especially water hyacinths washed ashore by the waves. Therefore, my friends and I proactively decided to pick them up. We hope that these small actions will contribute to making Da Nang beach even greener, cleaner, and more beautiful."
As can be seen, the types of trash washed ashore mainly consist of water hyacinth, used plastic bottles, and even dead fish.
The young people actively worked together to collect trash.
In particular, the water hyacinths were gathered into large piles by the volunteers to make it easier for sanitation workers to collect them.
Environmental sanitation workers are deployed to clean up trash along the beaches.
When asked, the young people all shared a common desire to contribute in a small way to making the beach cleaner and more beautiful.
