Within the framework of the 90th Humanitarian Newspaper Festival (Fête de l'Humanité) taking place from September 12-14 in the city of Le Plessis-Pâté in the Essonne province on the southern outskirts of the French capital, on September 13, Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated with the organizing committee to introduce an exhibition booth introducing the country and people of Vietnam.
In his opening speech, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Que Dinh Nguyen said that in the face of the enormous challenges the world is facing, communists and progressive forces around the world need to continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity and demonstrate a greater role in contributing to building a sustainable peace because the value of peace is a common, universal value and needs to be fought for and preserved by all peoples.
The Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper expressed his belief that the sincere and frank exchanges at this year's Press Conference will certainly contribute to raising awareness of regional and international current issues, while building appropriate orientations and measures for the struggle for peace, democracy and social progress.
Furthermore, Mr. Que Dinh Nguyen also believes that the traditional friendship and solidarity in the struggle between the Vietnamese and French people – with the communist sentiment at its core – will be further strengthened and developed, becoming a shining symbol of international solidarity.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to France Dinh Toan Thang affirmed that Vietnam's presence at the annual Humanitarian Press Festival always carries profound significance. This is an opportunity to affirm and strengthen solidarity between the people and communists of Vietnam and France. It is also a forum to introduce Vietnam and its people, the great achievements of the Doi Moi (Renovation) process, as well as the friendship and cooperation that the Vietnamese Party and people always wish to cultivate with peace-loving and progressive parties and nations around the world .

The Ambassador emphasized that the Vietnamese Party and State always value the comprehensive strategic partnership with France, and will never forget the valuable support of the Communist Party and progressive forces of France for the cause of independence and unification in the past, as well as for bilateral development and cooperation today.
According to the Ambassador, the relationship between the two countries continues to develop well, as evidenced by visits, delegation exchanges, theoretical seminars, experience sharing, and coordination at multilateral forums. The annual exhibition booth of Nhan Dan Newspaper at the Humanitarian Press Festival is proof of the shared determination to further strengthen this relationship in the future.
For his part, Taylan Coskun, Head of the Central Committee for External Relations of the French Communist Party (PCF), affirmed that the annual presence of the Nhan Dan newspaper booth at the "World Village" within the framework of the Humanitarian Festival has always been an important milestone. But in 2025, this event has a special significance, in the context of Vietnam celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the nation - an event that PCF National Secretary Fabien Roussel assessed in a congratulatory telegram as "of special significance to all of us. It not only symbolizes the struggle and sacrifices of the Vietnamese people, but also reflects the common aspirations of oppressed peoples around the world."
Mr. Taylan Coskun stated that the aforementioned momentous events further affirm the depth of friendship and solidarity between the two parties and the two nations of France and Vietnam, and assessed that the legacy of President Ho Chi Minh remains a source of global inspiration. He illuminated the path of struggle for freedom, independence, and national dignity.
Finally, he acknowledged the great achievements of the Vietnamese people, who, after overcoming countless challenges, have built a strong and developing country that is increasingly playing an important role on the international stage.
The L'Humanité Press Festival is one of the biggest political and cultural events in France, organized by the newspaper L'Humanité and PCF, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
After nearly a century of formation and development, Fête de l'Humanité is not only a gathering place for communists, leftists and the French workers' movement, but also a gathering place for progressive friends from all five continents to share the aspiration for peace, justice and solidarity.
The familiar highlight of this year's event is the series of large-scale concerts with dozens of famous French and international artists and bands performing on many stages. In addition, there are hundreds of cultural and political booths of international organizations, parties, associations and friends. This is also the place where many seminars, talks, exhibitions, displays of books, newspapers and images take place, contributing to introducing social movements, solidarity activities as well as promoting the image of the country and people of the participating ethnic groups.
This year's Nhan Dan newspaper exhibition booth introduces the brilliant milestones of Vietnam, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh in the journey of fighting for independence, freedom, national unification, development and international integration.
Along with that, special publications of Nhan Dan newspaper celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, performances by Vietnamese artists, handicraft products and dishes with authentic Vietnamese flavors are also "magnets" attracting many international guests and friends to visit and learn./.
