The bookshelf contains nearly 300 books on the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, life skills education , literature, etc. In addition to the bookshelf, the program also awarded scholarships and gifts including 50 scholarships (1 million VND each), 30 traditional Vietnamese dresses (áo dài), 70 backpacks, 1,300 cartons of Dalatmilk UHT milk, and 2,000 notebooks to disadvantaged students in Thoi Lai district, with a total value of 640 million VND.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Ly Viet Trung - Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, shared: "The 'Uncle Ho's Book Shelf' aims to tell students stories about the life and career of Uncle Ho, and the love he had for children."
The donation of bookshelves also aims to develop the reading movement among students in remote schools. At the same time, it provides scholarships and gifts to disadvantaged students in remote areas to share their difficulties and help them have more motivation to strive in life and studies.
"These books, gifts, and scholarships today are the result of the hard work and dedication of many people and businesses, sent to the children. We hope the children will study hard to live up to the expectations of their parents and teachers, and to become useful members of society in the future," Ms. Ly Viet Trung expressed her hope.
