Earlier, at around 2:30 PM on August 8th, the Ky Anh Town Police received a report from Bui Van C. (born in 2008, residing in Ky Van commune, Ky Anh district), a student at Ha Tinh College of Technology (Ky Trinh ward, Ky Anh town), who was accosted, assaulted, and robbed of a Samsung mobile phone worth approximately 4 million VND by three teenagers riding a motorbike with an unknown license plate.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Ky Anh Town Police deployed forces to investigate and clarify the matter. After a period of focused investigation, the Ky Anh Town Police identified the perpetrators of the robbery as Tran Anh Dung (born in 2007), Tran Van Uy (born in 2004), and Vo Viet Nui (born in 2007), all residing in Hoa Loc Hamlet, Ky Trinh Ward, Ky Anh Town.
At the police station, these individuals confessed that on the morning of August 8th, Tran Anh Dung, Tran Van Uy, and Vo Viet Nui met at Ha Tinh College of Technology to meet some friends to settle some personal matters. When they saw Bui Van C. walking on the other side of the road, they conceived the idea of robbing him.
All three forced C. onto the motorbike and drove to a melaleuca forest directly opposite the main entrance of Ha Tinh College of Technology, about 150 meters from National Highway 1. There, Dung snatched the phone from C.'s hand. When C. demanded her phone back, Uy punched her in the back and face. Afterwards, all three drove away on the motorbike and sold the phone for personal use.
The Ky Anh Town Police are continuing to expand their investigation and finalize the case file to prosecute the suspects according to the law.
