At noon on June 2nd, the leaders of the Hiep Hoa District Police announced that they had just issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspect, and temporarily detain Nguyen Van Thanh (29 years old, residing in Luong Phong commune, Hiep Hoa district) for the crime of "intentionally causing injury".

Initially, the Hiep Hoa District Police determined that on April 15th, Mr. GVT (32 years old, residing in Thang Town, Hiep Hoa District) and his friend were drinking coffee on the second floor of a coffee shop in residential area No. 2 (Thang Town).

At that time, Thanh went to see Mr. T and claimed that Mr. T was "giving him a dirty look," so he threw a glass cup from the table at Mr. T's head, causing the victim to be injured, bleed profusely, and require treatment at the H. Viet Yen Medical Center ( Bac Giang ).

Bac Giang Provincial General Hospital has determined that Mr. T. sustained 3% injuries after being assaulted by Thanh.

According to the Hiep Hoa District Police, in 2018, Thanh was prosecuted for "intentionally causing injury". However, after the investigation concluded, the victim withdrew the complaint and requested exemption from criminal liability, so Thanh was only given an administrative penalty for "infringing on the health of another person".
