Masked suspect arrested, pretended to buy gold then snatched the gold and ran away

On the morning of October 22, Cam Lo District Police ( Quang Tri ) confirmed that the unit had arrested Le Huu Dat (18 years old, residing in Kim Dau village, Thanh An commune, Cam Lo district) in connection with the robbery at Hoang Su gold shop (Thanh An commune).

Previously, at around 1 p.m. yesterday, October 21, Cam Lo District Police received information that a young man pretended to come to HS gold shop to buy gold, then snatched 1 tael of gold and ran away.

Cam Lo District Police organized a hot pursuit, mobilizing all forces to join the investigation. Using professional measures, Cam Lo District Police clarified that Le Huu Dat was the suspect in the gold robbery and arrested Dat at 9:00 p.m. the same day.

Also last night, October 21, authorities urgently searched Le Huu Dat's residence.

According to the initial investigation, after snatching the gold, Dat threw away the raincoat and went to a relative's house to take a shower. The suspect then returned to his own home, acting as if nothing had happened.

"The process of solving the case encountered some difficulties, because the suspect's face was covered when he committed the crime, no one could identify him, and the weather was rainy and windy. However, less than 10 hours after deploying the force, the authorities arrested the suspect and the evidence at his private home," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Bao, Deputy Chief of Cam Lo District Police, informed.

Cam Lo District Police are completing the case file to prosecute the case and prosecute the defendant Le Huu Dat for robbery.
