On October 3rd and 4th, at the Quang Duc Border Guard Station, the Provincial Border Guard Command organized a tactical exercise with a partial live-fire component under the theme "Quang Duc Border Guard Station transitions to combat readiness for A3 mission; organizes preparation and conducts combat operations to protect the border."
Tactical exercises involving live firing are the highest form of training, closely simulating actual combat, aimed at enhancing the combat command and control capabilities of commanders at all levels in managing and protecting borders, seas, and airspace, fighting to protect units, and improving the ability of officers and soldiers to use weapons and equipment in their inventory.

The live-fire exercise simulating enemy attacks to protect the border is a new activity, organized for the first time by the provincial Border Guard Command. Therefore, experience in attack tactics is limited; the process is mainly a learning-by-doing exercise, constantly improving and refining the skills.
Thanks to good preparation, the exercise was successfully organized, achieving the set goals and requirements, ensuring absolute safety.

Following the pilot exercise at Quang Duc Border Guard Station, the Provincial Border Guard Command will hold a general debriefing session for all units. For Tra Co, Hon Gai, and Thanh Lan Border Guard Stations, only the operational mechanism part of the exercise will be conducted; no live firing of blank ammunition will be practiced.

In his closing remarks at the exercise, Colonel Tran Van Thanh, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, commended, acknowledged, and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the forces participating in the exercise, especially the live-fire unit, for strictly adhering to the regulations of the Command and the Exercise Steering Committee; for training seriously, responsibly, and with good solidarity; and for ensuring absolute safety in all aspects, meeting the requirements of protecting the territorial integrity and national border security in the new situation.
