On the evening of December 24th, more than 1,000 parishioners from Ho Chi Minh City gathered at Notre Dame Cathedral (District 1) to attend the Christmas Mass for 2024.
The Christmas Mass at Notre Dame Cathedral in Saigon was attended by over 1,000 parishioners, filling all the pews inside the church.
The main ceremony began at 8:30 PM, but even before that, from over 7 PM, a large crowd of people in Ho Chi Minh City had already gathered in front of the church to take photos under the shimmering lights.
Despite being under renovation, the Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral (commonly known as the Saigon Notre Dame Church) still welcomed nearly 1,000 parishioners to the Christmas Mass on the night of December 24th.

After the 30-minute Vigil (from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM), Christmas Eve officially begins.

Even at 11 PM, the crowds outside Notre Dame Cathedral were still dense. Every year during Christmas, the cathedral is beautifully decorated, attracting many visitors and worshippers.

Notre Dame Cathedral is located in the Place de la Commune de Paris, built in 1877, completed after 3 years, and elevated to the status of Minor Basilica by the Vatican in 1959 (officially named the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception).

For Christmas 2024, Notre Dame Cathedral in Saigon decorated the front, back, and sides of the building with 500,000 meters of LED string lights. Between the two bell towers, a Bethlehem Christmas star with multicolored lights was installed.
