Accordingly, on August 21, it will be held at the Ca Mau Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital ; on August 22, at the Tan Loc Commune Health Station; and on August 23, at the Luong The Tran Commune Health Station. Each location is expected to screen about 300 people, mainly those aged 40 and over and at high risk of COPD or asthma.

Screening activities help people access specialized medical services, detect diseases early for timely treatment, limit complications, and improve quality of life. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for local medical facilities to learn and access modern medical examination and treatment models from the Central level.

On the same afternoon, Bach Mai Hospital organized a training course for 80 commune-level health workers , focusing on recognizing, diagnosing, treating COPD and managing acute asthma attacks. Improving the skills and experience of grassroots health workers is considered a key solution to help manage and treat respiratory diseases effectively in the community.

The program brings dual benefits: it helps people access high-quality medical services while improving the professional capacity of grassroots medical staff, aiming to build a healthy community and reduce worries about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma in the future.
