On September 7th, according to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, the hospital reported to the PC 02 Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Police about a fake fanpage impersonating the hospital and posting bank account numbers to solicit charitable donations.

Previously, many readers contacted the hospital's official fanpage to ask about a "strange" fanpage with the same name as the Oncology Hospital. This page posted an article calling for donations for patients being treated at the hospital.

In response to concerns from many people, a representative from the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital confirmed that this is a fake page, not the official website of the hospital. "People need to be extremely vigilant and avoid having their kindness exploited," the hospital representative emphasized.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Diem - Head of Social Work Department of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital - said that every month, hundreds of individuals and organizations come to the hospital to support patients in difficult circumstances.

"When organizations and individuals come to the hospital to help, they will directly give money and gifts to patients or transfer money directly to the patient's temporary account at the hospital. We do not accept cash or organize donations through any online channels," Ms. Diem affirmed.

The Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital urges the online community to be cautious when accessing information soliciting charity on social media, especially on hospital pages. People who wish to help patients should contact the Social Work Department directly for guidance and proper support.

"We really appreciate the community's kindness to patients. However, to ensure transparency and reach the right people in the right circumstances, all forms of support need to go through the hospital's official channels," the hospital representative emphasized.
